VOLUNTEER
Each year, Bournelyf Special Camp provides a wholesome experience packed with creativity, friends and fun. Our fun and unforgettable programs promote the development of self-esteem, independence and responsibility for all campers.
Camp Volunteers
-
Anyone who is interested in volunteering at Bournelyf Special Camp should email info@bscwc.org. In an effort to promote a productive and positive experience, we ask that all volunteers be at least 13 years of age. Please contact us regarding any special circumstances.
-
Please note that any individual who wishes to volunteer during our summer program, interacting with campers, must meet with our Executive Director, Courtney Zimmerman, PRIOR to the date you wish to start in order to take a tour of campus and to insure we can place you in the group or program that is best suited to our volunteer needs.
-
Any volunteer who wishes to take part in activities that would involve campers, must have completed clearances from the state of Pennsylvania. Clearances must be renewed every 5 years. If you already have your clearances completed and wish to volunteer you will simply need to provide us with a copy of those clearances.
-
Please note that the following TWO clearances for volunteers can be completed online and free of charge.
-
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
-
Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check
-
Fingerprint is required for volunteers who have lived outside the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the last ten (10) years.
-
To schedule your fingerprint please go to the following website (https://uenroll.identogo.com). When asked to enter the service code, use 1KG6ZJ. There is a fee for this clearance.
