FORMS AND INFORMATION

-Every day, each program will begin with Morning/Afternoon Circle where campers get to showcase their latest dance moves, sing, share announcements or just wave hello, whatever they are comfortable doing!
-Additionally, every program will have one hour in the pool each day; 20 minutes will be devoted to swim instruction and the remaining time will be “free swim”.
-Campers bring their own lunch to Camp (for full-day sessions), preferably one that does not require a microwave as we are not always on campus for lunch.
-Camp provides water, lemonade and a snack at the end of the day (if time permits).
-Bournelyf offers a 4:1 camper/staff ratio for our Expedition & Alumni programs and a 3:1 camper/staff ratio for our Trailblazer programs. We are unable to accept campers who require more extensive supervision, have had incidents of physical aggression and/or are not toilet-trained.
-Campers who are new to Camp, or who have only attended for one year, are eligible to attend two total weeks of camp initially; however if space permits they may sign up for additional sessions after their initial 2 weeks.

Want to Learn More About Camp?

Prospective Camp families are invited to attend our Spring Open House on Saturday, April 5, 2025 to learn more about Bournelyf. All first year campers are required to attend prior to Camp. The purpose is to show you the camp grounds, provide our staff the chance to meet you and your camper, and answer any questions that you may have.  It also serves as a great opportunity to make sure that camp is a good fit for your camper. All interested first year Campers can sign up for our 2025 Open House here.

If your Camper is unable to attend the Open House on Saturday, April 5th, please contact the directors at info@bscwc.org to schedule an alternate date to visit Camp. Stay tuned for more information about the April 5th Open House. We can't wait to meet you!

Tuition/Fees/Late Charges
A deposit of 25% of tuition is required to reserve your campers spot. Please note that we cannot reserve any spots without the 25% payment that accompanies the application. 3 additional installments of 25% of the tuition are due May 1, June 1 and 1 week prior to the start of camp. We are happy to provide a receipt, upon request, if you wish to pursue reimbursement from a 3rd party. Please note that Alumni vacations may have adjusted payment schedules, depending on the dates of the trip.

Please note that the tuition fee covers a portion of actual program expenses. Through fundraising efforts and the generosity of our donors we are able to offer our programs at this reduced rate.

Cancellation/Refunds

  • Cancellation 1 month before the first day of the session in which your child enrolled results in a refund of 50% of tuition.

  • Cancellation 2 weeks before the first day of the session results in a refund of 25% of tuition.

  • There are no refunds for cancellation within 2 weeks of the first day of the Camp session.

  • There are also no refunds in tuition for voluntary withdrawal during any camp session, for late arrivals or early departures, or for campers who are asked to withdraw for behavior reasons. Exceptions to this policy may be made only by the Executive Director of the Camp, at their discretion.

Suspension/Dismissal

We reserve the right to suspend or dismiss a camper in our sole discretion for harmful or disruptive behavior (subject to applicable regulatory requirements) if we do not have adequate expertise or resources for the child’s needs, for violation of Camp policies or any other reason we determine to be in the best interest of the Camp. Suspension or dismissal may be with or without notice.

Bournelyf 3rd Party Pay Policy

  1. When a Camper indicates that they will be using 3rd Party Pay (Waiver, FSS, or other funding), the family and Camper's Supports Coordinator (or whoever will be responsible for processing the payment to camp) will be contacted directly by the assistant director. It is your responsibility to ensure that the appropriate contact information is provided for your camper's Supports Coordinator.

  2. If utilizing Third Party pay, families do NOT make an initial deposit. The application can be submitted without the initial 25% deposit.

  3. Upon receipt of your camper's application, the assistant director will reach out to your camper's supports coordinator directly. Once the type of 3rd Party Pay has been verified, the Assistant Director will contact you regarding whether out-of-pocket expenses are required. Please note that for waiver funding, provided that your camper's supports coordinator verifies in writing by submitting a Promise of Payment Letter that your camper is approved to use their waiver funding to cover their entire tuition cost, an invoice and additional requested documentation will be provided to your Camper's supports coordinator. Once the supports coordinator has provided the Promise of Payment Letter, you will be notified.

  4. In the event it is determined that your Camper is NOT approved to utilize waiver funding for Camp tuition, the Assistant Director will notify the family and the family will be responsible for the entire tuition cost. Tuition assistance is available if the cost of tuition is a significant financial burden to your family.

  5. Please note that waiver funding will NOT cover the cost of any services that are not rendered. Therefore, if your camper is unable to attend any dates of camp that they are registered for, the family will be responsible for paying the per diem rate for that session. An adjusted invoice will be sent to your Camper's support coordinator to reflect the dates in which your Camper attended Camp.

  6. Our regular cancellation policy applies to all campers utilizing 3rd Party Pay. Cancellation fees will be the sole responsibility of the family, as waiver funding will not cover the cost of services not rendered.

***Please note that FSS and Respite funding may differ from waiver funding. The assistant director will work with you and your camper's supports coordinator to determine the appropriate steps for handling payments.

Tuition Assistance

Bournelyf recognizes that individual circumstances differ. Each year we are able to make some additional funding available for campers who otherwise might not be able to participate in the Camp’s programs due to financial hardship. If tuition assistance is desired, please indicate that on the application. The Assistant Director will then contact you individually to discuss your situation. You may also wish to contact your County MH/IDD or school district to determine whether they have monies available to assist your camper. We advise you to apply promptly, however, please make sure to indicate whether your camper’s participation is dependent on county or school district support on the application. Please DO NOT apply for Tuition Assistance if you are relying on a 3rd party to pay the tuition. Tuition Assistance is for families paying tuition out of pocket.
